Moving from late price reductions to continuous pricing control

ACB Group operates four branches in the greater Brussels area and sells approximately 500 used cars per year. Managing prices consistently across stock had become increasingly difficult.

“We mainly adjusted prices after four to six months,” explains Serafijn Embrechts. “Not because that was our strategy, but because we didn’t have the time to intervene earlier.” To regain control over pricing and stock turnover, ACB Group partnered with JP.cars.

Introducing daily pricing signals instead of manual comparisons

After implementation, ACB Group started using JP.cars primarily for revenue management. The software scans the market daily and highlights vehicles that require price adjustments.

“The software indicates where pricing needs to move up or down,” says Serafijn. “That allows us to intervene earlier and manage pricing much more actively.” Within a few months, this resulted in a higher turnover rate for used cars.

Reducing pricing dependency from multiple people to one role

Before using JP.cars, pricing decisions followed a six-eyes principle. Multiple people compared listings manually before a price decision was made. “That process took a lot of time,” Serafijn explains. “Now, one person can manage pricing decisions based on a clear market overview.” This reduced internal friction and made pricing decisions more consistent.

Beyond internal stock insights, JP.cars provides a broader view of the market. This allows ACB Group to immediately see whether vehicles are priced competitively.

“You instantly see if your stock is priced correctly,” says Serafijn. “That significantly reduces the risk of pricing yourself out of the market.” This combination of daily pricing signals and market context helps keep inventory aligned with demand.
