Client case Wealer
Wealer operates seven dealerships in the south of the Netherlands and represents several Volkswagen Group brands. With a used car stock of around 300 vehicles, relying on gut feeling for trade-ins and pricing no longer scaled.
“Previously, we exchanged cars mainly based on intuition,” says Raymond Smeets. “Now, we run nine out of ten cars through JP.cars.”
Wealer works with the data and software of JP.cars.
A key reason for adopting JP.cars was access to daily updated market data. “The software scans the market every day,” Raymond explains. “The ETR adds real value because it shows how marketable a car actually is.”
This replaces time-consuming comparisons across multiple portals and provides one consistent reference point for pricing decisions.
JP.cars is used for both valuations and inventory management. “In the past, it took me two to three days to check our entire stock of 300 cars,” says Raymond. “I had to compare three or four different portals.”
Today, pricing recommendations are available directly in the platform. “Now, I can review and update pricing for the full stock in a single day. In fact, I can process up to 500 cars in one day. That saves a lot of time and gives us much more control over stock days.”
Beyond pricing speed, Wealer uses JP.cars to stay in control of stock days. By working with clear internal protocols and daily market signals, ageing stock is identified earlier and addressed more consistently. Over time, Wealer tightened these protocols together with the JP.cars team to ensure the software remained part of daily decision-making.
“Now I can update pricing for our entire stock in one day. The software saves a lot of time and gives us much more control over stock days.”
