Auto Hoogenboom is a well-known dealer group in Rotterdam and part of the Pon organisation. With a large inventory and multiple branches, assessing whether a car will sell at what price, is a recurring challenge.
“Previously, we spent a lot of time browsing listing websites to determine purchase and selling prices,” says Mark Slegt. “That approach no longer worked for us.” At the end of 2021, Auto Hoogenboom started working with JP.cars to support these decisions with structured market data.

The used car market changes rapidly. To maintain turnover, Auto Hoogenboom reviews its advertised inventory on a weekly basis. “Every week, we assess whether pricing adjustments are needed,” says Mark. “We base those decisions on the data provided by JP.cars.”
This structured review rhythm helps the team respond to market changes before vehicles start ageing unnecessarily.
JP.cars also supports management oversight through reporting.
“For each branch, we can see which vehicles are available, how long they’ve been in stock, how fast they turn and how marketable they are compared to the wider market,” Mark explains. These insights form the basis for inventory discussions and adjustments across locations.
“You can quickly assess a car’s marketability and price worthiness, which helps us stay aligned with the market.”
